Dr. Sudha Subbanna
Dr. Sudha Subbanna began her dental education in India, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Government Dental College in her native Bangalore. She graduated in first rank in Periodontology. She went on to study at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 2001 with her DDS and further awards, winning the Award of Excellence- Best Student. After graduating from Western, Dr. Subbanna completed one year of Residency at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Hospital of Sick Children, where she developed passion for Children’s Dentistry. With 20 plus years of experience in all areas of Dentistry, Dr. Subbanna dedicates her life to learning as much as she can. She has taken over 60 courses in all areas of Dentistry, and has worked alongside specialists to gain hands on experience. She also has to her credit Surgical Implant Mentorship Program with Straumann. She is a member of good standing with Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club, Ontario Dental Association and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. One of Dr. Subbanna’s areas of Special interest is dental anxiety. She has been working with patients to reduce their anxiety with a combination of sedation and music therapy. Dr. Subbanna lives in Mississauga with her husband and two daughters. She stays fit by walking, swimming and playing Badminton. She also takes an active role in her community by sharing her love of Indian Classical Music and teaching and conducting free Kannada language classes.
